Scrum Master

Job Purpose

The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring the Scrum team performs at its highest potential by making sure that the team sticks to the Agile Scrum methodology principles and values while delivering high-quality products.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

• Facilitates the daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings
• Removes any impediments or roadblocks that stand in the way of the Scrum team's progress
• Ensuring that the development team is adhering to the Scrum framework and Agile principles
• Coordinating between the development team and the product owner to ensure that the product backlog is appropriately prioritized and maintained
• Helps the team to continuously improve its processes and practices
• Coaches and mentors the Scrum team on Agile Scrum methodology principles and values
• Ensures the Scrum team adheres to any organizational policies, procedures, or governance requirements
• Manages and reports on the velocity and progress of the Scrum team to stakeholders and management
• Facilitates and promotes collaboration and communication between team members, other Scrum teams, and stakeholders.

Position Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodology principles and values
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a non-technical way
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and leading teams to high levels of performance
