Junior Systems Engineer

Job Purpose

A Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the company systems that support efficient business processes. His/her task is to ensure that the company's technological resources are aligned with its goals, and the systems are always available and reliable.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and managing the company's IT infrastructure.
• Developing technical solutions to improve existing systems and processes.
• Plan and implement system upgrades and expansions.
• Monitoring system performance to ensure maximum uptime.
• Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware.
• Upgrading and patching software and firmware on servers and other network devices.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting system issues.
• Collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and processes.
• Conducting regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Maintain systems availability & stability to meet the agreed SLAs.
• Provide emergency 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis.

Position Requirements

Required skills & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a systems engineer or in a related field.
• Knowledge of hardware and software systems and technology.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team.
