Job Purpose

• Implementing the company's accounting policies and procedures, following up on the process of the general accounts, including the monthly closing and approving bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for monitoring the KPI of the department and achieving the company's overall objectives.
• Implementation and follow-up of the general accounts, direct supervision of all employees, and follow-up of the financial operations in the branches, accounting reports and monthly financial statements.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

- Plans and directs all aspects of financial, accounting, purchasing, and internal control functions for the venue by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors. The FD supervises the Finance Department employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities include overseeing the interviewing, hiring of fulltime employees; assigning, and directing work; performance appraisals; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for monitoring monthly KPI’s and achieving the company objectives.
- Develops and implements accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of operating data and special reports as required including interim and year-end financial statements. Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Summary and present the monthly results to CFO including senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Stay abreast of various grant regulations and requirements, tracking and monitoring changes and interpretations of USAID, AFD, IMFA, EU, and national grant regulations.
- Problem solving – the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully
- Guarantee all the tax compliance, auditing concerning VAT, WHT, Income Tax and other assessment prerequisites and essential profits are filed on time. Guaranteeing all Tax liabilities are paid well before the specified time frame and there is no infringement
- Contribute to capacity building and sharing of knowledge within finance department. Also maintain responsibility for transparency and accountability and implementation of policies and guidelines including donors.
- Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.
- Provide constructive suggestions relative to enhancing current procedures on the existing CGC policies and procedures
- Participate in negotiations with international foreign and Egyptian Organizations to obtain new secretariat funds or support for the establishment and management of new projects or to increase the financial capacity of existing projects.
- Maintain accurate financial reports for CGC, income statements, balance sheets, Cash Flow, tax returns ( including Tax inspections) and reports for Government regulatory agencies; financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations, including statutory obligations,
- Support the CFO on the completion of internal control audits and initiate necessary actions to correct control weaknesses.
- Review and maintain grant documentation and reporting both in the CGC ERP system and ensure schedule for Donor reporting is respected and all reports are compiled in an accurate and timely manner and submitted to the CFO for verification and approval. 
- Champion of the company's automated system and validation of computer-generated data for all Finance modules in the ERP system i.e AP, AR, GL, FA.
- Ensure that effective and firm internal control procedures and the segregation of duties are in place to fully protect the company's assets and property.
- Oversee the timely preparation review and approval of all monthly Balance Sheet and bank Accounts Reconciliations.

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
- 9+ years working in public accounting or in the fintech/financial services industries
- Experience managing month-end closing processes
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial statements.
- Project management skills and a knack for juggling multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Familiarity or experience with P&C insurance is an advantage
- Solid training in all areas of accounting, including management and accounting for accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintenance of a general ledger, credit, collections, and Fixed Assets .
- Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls, processing payroll, budgeting, costing, and financial statements preparation and analysis.
