Credit Risk Reviewer

Job Purpose

The Risk Reviewer is responsible for evaluating and validating credit risk assessments and memos submitted by the Individual Guarantee Department. This role ensures that all credit decisions comply with internal risk policies, rating standards, and regulatory requirements. The Risk Reviewer provides independent oversight and contributes to enhancing the quality and consistency of credit evaluation processes.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

•Independently review and assess credit memos and risk evaluations conducted by the Individual Guarantee team to ensure objectivity and accuracy.
•Conduct independent reviews and assessments of the portfolio guarantee, preparing and presenting a memo to a high-level committees.
•Review and evaluate any topic submitted from any department in the company in order to present it to the higher or executive committee.
•Validate that all assigned risk ratings are appropriately justified and supported by complete and accurate documentation.
•Identify discrepancies or deviations from the company's internal risk policies and recommend necessary revisions.
•Provide clear, constructive feedback to analysts and credit approvers to enhance the quality of future credit assessments.
•Escalate high-risk or complex cases to senior risk management, ensuring appropriate scrutiny and risk mitigation actions.
•Monitor trends in risk evaluation to help identify gaps in analysis and potential systemic issues.
•Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to stay current with regulatory updates, credit risk practices, and internal policy changes.
•Contribute to the enhancement and development of credit risk review frameworks and tools.
•Ensure all reviewed credit memos meet internal risk and compliance standards.
•Maintain a high level of accuracy in identifying incorrect risk ratings or documentation issues.
•Support the development and refinement of internal credit review procedures and templates.
•Collaborate with credit and risk analysts to ensure understanding and consistent application of credit policies.
•Maintain documentation and logs of all review activities and outcomes, ensuring audit readiness and transparency.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field
Special Certification or Training Required: Risk or Credit Certification 
Required Industry Experience: 3–5 years in credit risk analysis or review, preferably within a financial or credit guarantee institution
Technological Requirements: Proficiency in risk assessment tools, MS Office, and internal credit review systems
Language Requirements: Arabic - English
