Job Purpose

To facilitate the successful delivery of business solutions within an agile squad by accurately capturing, analyzing, and translating business requirements into actionable user stories. The Business Analyst acts as a key liaison between stakeholders and the squad, ensuring that the product developed aligns with business goals, meets user needs, and adheres to agile principles. This role is essential in driving continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and supporting the squad in delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
-Work closely with the Product Owner, stakeholders, and squad members to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
-Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications that align with the product vision.
-Continuously refine and prioritize the product backlog based on feedback, business value, and changing requirements.
• Agile Collaboration:
-Actively participate in all Scrum events, including daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
-Collaborate with developers, designers, and testers within the squad to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and successful delivery of features.
-Support the Product Owner in backlog grooming, story mapping, and release planning activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
-Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, expectations, and pain points, ensuring that the delivered solutions meet business objectives.
-Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, acting as a translator to ensure clear and effective collaboration.
• Continuous Improvement:
-Identify opportunities for process improvements within the squad and suggest enhancements to optimize the delivery of business value.
-Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and tools in business analysis and agile methodologies.
-Support the squad in adopting and improving agile practices to enhance productivity and quality.
• Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of requirements, user stories, process flows, and business rules.
-Prepare and deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations to stakeholders on product progress, risks, and outcomes.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Special Certification or Training Required:  Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist).
Required Industry Experience: Financial Institutions experience 
Technological Requirements: Proficiency in product management and agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Language Requirements: Arabic (Native) & English


• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within an agile environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Scrum and other agile methodologies.
• Experience in creating and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
